The temptation for me is to leave it there. However, as a professional I am obligated to give my opinion on Camo weddings, right?
It really isn't as bad as I make it sound. I think Camo weddings can be done quite tastefully. Case in point, our latest Bride, Aimee Stalker (now Gibson) of West Terre Haute, Indiana.
I am always a little wary when we receive a request like this. Mainly because it can be overdone so easily. There is this misconception with camouflage that EVERYTHING should be covered in it. I really wish people would listen to Tim Gunn when he says, "Edit."
In my personal opinion, it would be a lot more appropriate to substitute camo for one color out of their palette. It would make the whole event more cohesive.
Aimee did a great job using complimentary tulle pew bows in ivory and light green. The ceremony location was simple and understated letting the camo be the hero without dominating.
So congratulations to Aimee for editing!
